Back to School Giveaway 2023
On July 31, 2023

The Donnita Craft Foundation Co- Hosted a Back-To-School Giveaway with Marlon Bell/ Bell’s Barber Shop and Joelite. We handed out over 300 plus book-sacks filled with school supplies. We provided students with free food, a petting zoo, dunking booth, and water slides. The Mayor of Baton Rouge, Sharon Broome, came out to show her support at the Back-to-School Giveaway and we ended the event with an annual Bell’s Barber Shop baseball game.

On February 15, 2023

The Donnita Craft Foundation partnered with Southern University Financial Aid Office during financial aid awareness week, to help students become aware of the current scholarships available through the Donnita Craft Foundation.

On February 28, 2023

The Donnita Craft Foundation partnered with Southern University Financial Aid Office and Coach Dooley with a “Get Motivated” event to talk to and help students get motivated for the school year.

On December January 13, 2023

The Donnita Craft Foundation hosted their very first winter giveaway that catered to current college students. The winners of this giveaway were JoAnna Singleton from Southern University and A&M College and Aaliyah White from Texas Southern University.
